Michael Turner died in June?! :(
Don’t be mad at me, comics fans, I am a casual comic book nerd who only reads when I can. I was doing a little catching up yesterday and was shocked to learn thatMichael Turner passed away due to bone cancer on June 27th of this year. He was only 37 years old.
How sad that is for the comic book world. Even as a casual fan, I adored almost everything Michael Turner drew. He had a way of drawing comic book women that made them look beautiful, sexy, and powerful, and he never resorted to the ridiculous contortions of their anatomy that other comic book artists have relied on. In particular, I thought he did a marvelous job on Wonder Woman, and it’s no simple task to make a woman in star-spangled panties look like she can kick your ass! But he always did it.
