Door-to-Door Atheists

A satirical complaint against the LDS practice of going door-to-door, and mainly, doing it too early in the morning:
I laughed. I appreciate how John Safran make it clear that it’s the LDS practice of knocking on his door in the morning that he takes issue with, not the religion itself. Warning, contains a few s-words.

  1. I love this guy. There’s another video with this guy where he goes to Salt Lake and buys garments and wears them.

Ouch. Now that I won’t post, though I did check it out and checked out his other video making fun of Mormon cinema. See, I’m willing to make fun of a non-doctrinal religious practice (door-to-door proselyting) or a factor of a religion’s culture (Mormon cinema), but not a religion’s sacred ordinance. As kooky as the underwear thing is to virtually all non-Mormons, I understand that it’s sacred to Latter-day Saints and I respect that.
And besides, my husband wears them, so yeah… I’d be the one sleeping on the couch if I posted that video.
