Style J Denim Skirts
I don’t feel like religion blogging today, so instead I’m gonna talk about clothes!
People who know me would probably think that I don’t like skirts. That’s actually not true; I adore them. I simply can never find skirts that fit me right, and certainly not at good prices. Almost a month ago, I posted this lament in the Sorority section at TheologyWeb:
I’m 6’0″ tall and my legs are disproportionately long for my torso. I wear a 36″ inseam for jeans, and will sometimes buy 37″ if I can find it for a little extra length. So skirts never fit right on me. Skirts that would come down to a normal woman’s ankles are calf-length on me, and skirts that would come down to a normal woman’s knees are thigh-length on me, etc. Skirts that would be okay on a normal woman are too restrictive on me and fail to accommodate my long stride.

The lovely Draw2much was kind enough to tell me about Style J Denim Skirts. Style J is fantastic because:
- Their long skirts come in Extra Long, Long, Regular and Petite sizes, with lengths ranging from 36″ for petites to 43″ for extra long. They also sell calf length, knee length and short length skirts with more standardized lengths.
- They have Plus Size and Plus Size Long categories as well, so the waist sizes available range from 26″ to 46″.
- The prices range from $35 – $45 for the long styles; shorter skirt styles are usually cheaper. Very affordable.
- Once a style runs out, they stop selling it and never restock it, which means they are always adding new styles. Right now there are only six Extra Tall styles available; there were about twice as many a month ago, so I think they’ll be getting new styles in soon.
I ordered one for my birthday last month (can be seen on my About page) and I just love it. Their sizing guide was right on the money so it fits just perfectly, it’s long enough for even my goofy proportions and the lines it creates look great. Also, Style J was very prompt in delivering it. It shipped from Florida to Washington State and I received it 3 days after I ordered it.
