Apparently I’m a Reformed Baptist after all

I just took the “What denomination are you?” quiz here. These were my results:
(100%) 1: Baptist (Reformed/Particular/Calvinistic)
(98%) 2: Pentecostal/Charismatic/Assemblies of God
(88%) 3: Anabaptist (Mennonite/Quaker etc.)
(88%) 4: Methodist/Wesleyan/Nazarene
(83%) 5: Seventh-Day Adventist
(81%) 6: Baptist (non-Calvinistic)/Plymouth Brethren/Fundamentalist
(81%) 7: Congregational/United Church of Christ
(79%) 8: Lutheran
(72%) 9: Eastern Orthodox
(71%) 10: Church of Christ/Campbellite
(66%) 11: Anglican/Episcopal/Church of England
(59%) 12: Presbyterian/Reformed
(55%) 13: Roman Catholic
How is it that I’m a Calvinist Baptist and TC Robinson is a Pentecostal? I demand a recount!
Oh well. Maybe Todd Wood will be pleased.

  2. I took it and got 100% Reformed Baptist as well, and seeing as how I’m pretty far removed from the Reformed tradition, that probably says more about this quiz than anything else.
  3. (100%) 1: Roman Catholic
    (91%) 2: Church of Christ/Campbellite
    (87%) 3: Baptist (Reformed/Particular/Calvinistic)

    (80%) 6: Eastern Orthodox
  4. I’m LDS, but I came out 100% Eastern Orthodox or Catholic. I’m surprised the Seventh-Day Adventist made the list, since many in Christianity consider them heretics. The Church of Christ/Campbellite movement is also viewed with suspicion by some Christians, as well.
So, what are Scottish Baptists? Some of my ancestors who were Inghamites in England became Scottish Baptists.
Oh yes, there is a Seventh-Day COG movement. So, the distinctions can get blurred.
  5. Nope, no reform for me. I like praying to my inanimate idols too much. The test was rigged. It didn’t even have a question about how I view everyone else as terrible lost apostates. How can I answer honestly to a test that doesn’t have that?
  6. (100%) 1: Eastern Orthodox
    (97%) 2: Church of Christ/Campbellite
    (94%) 3: Anglican/Episcopal/Church of England

    (58%) 12: Pentecostal/Charismatic/Assemblies of God
    (50%) 13: Seventh-Day Adventist
I answered the questions as closely to Mormon theology as I could. Fascinating that Eastern Orthodox is closest to Mormonism, at least how this particular website defines each answer. I’m not surprised that Baptists and Mormons differ so greatly on theology. That’s pretty much a given.
