Looks like I’ve been awarded a Niblet for “Nicest Evil Villain”:

I feel kind of bad for the competition. The fact that I’m currently guest-blogging at T&S was probably hard to compete with.
Among ballots that only voted on one or two categories, I took 7th place for “Best New Blog.” Among ballots that voted in nine or more categories, I took 5th.

  3. I’m just shocked that Aaron Shafavoloff tied (or beat?) me! I should have tried some of that ballot-stuffing that Ziff mentioned, but once it became clear I wasn’t going to win (pretty early on), I was like, “meh, screw it.” (Not that I would have cheated in any case, but I would have re-posted an encouragement to vote if I’d thought I had any serious shot at winning.)
    I was thinking at first that having two atheists against four Christians would split the Christian-friendly vote and give the atheists the advantage. It may well have have had the opposite effect though: the representatives of Christianity were different enough from each other that the ‘Nacclers wanted to be sure that their favorite Christian made a better showing than their least-favorite Christian. Whatever the reason, though, it certainly doesn’t make the Bloggernacle’s atheist contingent look very impressive…
  6. Believe me, I was a little surprised when I checked at the end of the day on the first day of voting and saw that I was way in the lead. I wasn’t expecting that.
    I’m surprised Aaron overtook you (or tied you? Hard to tell from the graph). And here I had a great line prepared about how the two women were on top and everything’s better with boobs, including evil. Oh well.
