So this is good-bye
I’m about to go pick up our U-Haul truck, and I’ll soon be dismantling this computer, so I just wanted to say good-bye to everyone. Unless our hotel in Rapid City has Internet or one of our neighbors in Vernon Hills has an unsecured connection we can temporarily pinch from, you won’t hear from me until Comcast installs our Internet on Tuesday, August 25th. I first bloggedabout the prospect of going to Trinity on October 22nds of last year, and now here I am about to do it.
I have some sappy thank-yous to send around:
~ Thank you Zach from the admissions office at Multnomah for being so supportive and encouraging in my college hunt, and for never being anything but accepting of the fact that I have a Mormon husband.
~ Thanks Dad for letting go, and for everything else you’ve done for us. I know you don’t read this blog, but I’m really going to miss you and it’s meant a lot to me. We’ll get Harley back to Washington state to see you as often as possible. And my long hair so did not make me look like a meth addict!
~ Thanks Doug from the admissions office at TEDS who has since graduated and moved to pastor a church in Texas. I know you’re gonna be a great pastor.
~ Thank you to my cousins, aunt, uncle and other relatives who threw me the good-bye bash this Sunday.
~ Thanks psychochemiker for offering to come up to Vernon Hills on Saturday and help us move in. We are looking forward to meeting you.
~ Thank you to my assassin sister-wives of fury (Pink, Salmon & Turquoise) for being there for me. Thanks also to BrianJ for giving me good advice when I needed it.
~ Thanks Eric for the recommend on the Net10 phone; I have one now! I really am sorry we can’t meet you along the way like we’d wanted.
~ Thanks Mom, wherever you are. I think of you all the time. Have a burrito with Jesus at the Café Rio in heaven on me.
~ Thanks everyone who has read my blog and/or prayed for me this last year. I have some people who have PM’ed me or e-mailed me, and I promise, I’m going to get to them when my move is over.
~ And finally, thank you to that group of Trinity students that visited the Brigham Young University campus back in Winter Semester 2002. I’m sure you all had no idea what kind of dreams you were putting in my head by coming.
Be good while I’m gone, try not to post too many porn links in my comments.
